Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with daily clinical tasks, animal handling, and client interactions. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for pets, clients, and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory procedures Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to promote infection control and safety Help with pet care duties including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior Manage front desk tasks such as appointment scheduling, client communication, and record keeping Assist with animal physiology assessments, including understanding anatomy and performing basic animal catheterization when needed Support kennel operations by cleaning enclosures, monitoring animal health status, and ensuring a safe environment for all animals Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; experience working in a veterinary clinic is highly valued Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology to effectively assist in clinical tasks Hands-on experience with animal restraint techniques and dog handling skills Familiarity with medication administration protocols and aseptic techniques for clinical procedures Strong animal handling skills across various species. Laboratory experience or familiarity with veterinary diagnostic procedures is a plus Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who want to grow their veterinary career.
