Applicant must be friendly, have good communication skills, enjoy working with people and their pets and the desire to work. Applicant should live within 10 miles of the Animal Hospital. Responsibilities and Duties Assist the veterinarian with performing health checks, exams and medical procedures. Ability to perform or assist with dental cleaning Checking animals in rooms, provide puppy and kitten talks Ability to draw blood and inset an IV catheter in dogs and cats Collect urine and stool samples Ability to hold cats and dogs with low stress techniques Assist with radiography Clean instruments, surfaces, wrap packs Prepare animals for surgery and monitor recovery process Data entry of charges into our database Additional duties, but not limited to providing excellent patient care and maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital area Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
