Privately and locally owned — not corporate Serving the Marietta community for 26 years Supportive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Long-term clients who have trusted us with generations of their pets No boarding services, allowing our team to focus on patient care and medicine Experienced team members are respected and their contributions are valued Opportunity to become part of an established practice with deep roots in the community What We Are Looking For Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician and be comfortable with: Venipuncture and blood collection IV catheter placement Anesthesia monitoring Assisting with surgical and dental procedures Safely handling and restraining fractious or nervous pets Running in-house laboratory tests and diagnostics Caring for hospitalized patients Filling and preparing prescriptions Assisting with inventory and medical supplies Taking dental radiographs and other radiographs as directed Maintaining clean, organized treatment and exam areas Lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary Working cooperatively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service staff Experience with AVImark is a plus. Candidates with fewer than five years of experience may still be considered, although the starting rate may be adjusted according to experience and skill level. Typical Responsibilities You will play an important role in the daily care of our patients and the overall flow of the hospital.

Responsibilities may include:

Restraining and assisting with patient examinations and treatments Collecting blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples Performing in-house laboratory testing Assisting doctors during surgeries and dental procedures Monitoring patients under anesthesia Caring for hospitalized and recovering patients Preparing and filling prescriptions Setting up and stocking exam and treatment rooms Taking dental and general radiographs as directed Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment Compensation & Benefits $16-$20 per hour , depending on experience and demonstrated skills Health insurance bonus Discounted vision, dental, life, and supplemental insurance Employee veterinary care discount 3%
