Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care and client service! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse range of animals. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and behavior management to ensure safe procedures during examinations and treatments Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, animal catheterization, and surgical assistance Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and equipment sterilization in accordance with veterinary standards and PPE use Help with record keeping by accurately documenting patient information, treatment details, and medication logs Provide pet care support including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal welfare throughout their visit Manage front desk responsibilities such as client communication, appointment scheduling, and answering inquiries professionally Qualifications Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred; familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus Experience handling dogs and other animals confidently and compassionately; knowledge of animal behavior is advantageous Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while adhering to safety protocols and PPE guidelines Basic skills in record keeping, medication administration, and understanding of animal physiology and anatomy Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Willingness to learn new techniques such as IV insertion, animal catheterization, and surgical support procedures Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare with a positive attitude and energetic work ethic Embark on a fulfilling career where your passion for animals makes a real difference!
