We're now in an exciting growth phase—expanding our team, investing in new technology, and building something that lasts. We're looking for a Veterinary Assistant who wants to grow with us! This role is hands-on. You'll work alongside our veterinarians and vet techs in exams, surgeries, and daily patient care. If you're early in your career, we'll train you. If you have experience, we'll challenge you. What You'll Actually Do Restrain and handle animals safely during exams, procedures, and sample collection Prep surgical suites and exam rooms; maintain sterile environments Administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision Communicate with pet owners—updates, discharge instructions, follow-ups Keep accurate medical records (we use [insert your software if relevant]) Jump in wherever needed—this is a team that helps each other What We're Looking For Genuine compassion for animals (and patience with their humans) Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinic Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stay on your feet Willingness to work some weekends and holidays Previous vet clinic or animal care experience is a plus, but not required—attitude and aptitude matter more What You Get $17-$21/hour depending on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) with employer match Continuing education support—we want you to grow here Employee discounts on services and products A team that's been doing this for over four decades and still loves it About Us We're an independently owned, full-service animal hospital—not a corporate chain.
