Job Description
Azalea Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, small-animal practice located in Roswell, Georgia. Our dedicated team is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care for canine and feline patients at every stage of life. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Client Service Representative/Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role combines the exceptional client service and front-desk responsibilities with foundational veterinary assistant duties. You will be an important part of both the client experience and the medical team, helping ensure our patients receive safe, compassionate, and efficient care. Responsibilities Greet clients and provide friendly, professional customer service. Schedule and confirm appointments and help maintain an efficient daily workflow. Answer phone, email, and website inquiries and direct questions appropriately. Maintain accurate client and patient records. Process invoices, collect payments, and assist with billing and insurance needs. Communicate client questions and patient-care information with the veterinary team. Support social media, client education, and marketing projects. Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and other companion animals. Obtain and accurately record patient weights and basic vital signs. Assist with patient intake, examinations, treatments, and discharge. Prepare and maintain examination, treatment, and kennel areas. Assist with basic laboratory procedures, sample collection, and specimen handling. Assist with routine patient-care tasks, including nail trims and ear cleaning, as trained. Maintain appropriate cleaning, disinfection, infection-control, and aseptic practices. Assist with surgery preparation, patient monitoring, and other procedures as trained. Follow hospital protocols and promptly communicate patient or safety concerns to the veterinary team. Qualifications Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Comfortable safely handling and restraining dogs, cats, and other companion animals, including animals that may be fearful, anxious, or painful. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, basic animal care, and common veterinary procedures. Ability to obtain and accurately record patient weights and vital signs. Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and aseptic technique. Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and develop new veterinary skills. Comfortable using technology and veterinary practice management software.
