Veterinary Technician Assistant

Veterinary Technician/Assistant Job Summary:

Quick and friendly greeting to all clients and patients that enter our doors. Answering the phone with a friendly and welcoming tone of voice. Utilizing the computer maintain patient records, check in patients, schedule appointments, enter in transactions, scan and file documents, and email documents. Hold/restrain patients for appointments and procedures. Collect specimens and perform laboratory procedures to help aid in diagnostics. Provide specialized nursing care which includes; prepare and monitor patients under anesthesia, maintaining surgical instruments and surgery equipment, and monitor patients recovering form procedures performed. Complete radiographs in a dark room with exposure to x-rays while wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment. Perform dental prophylaxes on anesthetized patients for an extended period of time. Maintaining in house pharmacy incompliance within state and federal regulations. Advise and educate clients on life-long patient care, maintenance, recovery, and quality of life. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic. Cuddling with all our cute and adorable patients
