Duties Assist with animal handling, restraint, and pet care to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with surgeries, laboratory tests, medication administration, IV insertions, and animal catheterization Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, surgical suites, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards and prevent infections Record detailed patient information, treatment notes, medication logs, and laboratory results accurately in medical records Manage front desk responsibilities including client communication, appointment scheduling, and answering inquiries professionally Handle animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, bathing, and monitoring behavior to promote overall welfare Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during all procedures to ensure safety for staff and animals Experience Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is highly desirable Experience working as a veterinary technician is preferred Hands-on experience with pet restraint techniques, medication administration, laboratory testing, and record keeping is advantageous Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are very important Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and understanding of animal behavior enhances success in this role Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact the health and happiness of animals.
