Prairie View Animal Hospital in Grimes, Iowa is seeking candidates to fill a full-time position working as a veterinary assistant. A minimum of 1 year of animal-handling experience in a professional or volunteer setting is required. Duties include ensuring that hospitalized animals are clean, comfortable and exercised; administering treatments and monitoring patients as directed by the veterinarian; patient restraint; performing lab work; assisting the veterinarian and technicians as needed, general front-desk duties including answering phones and scheduling appointments, and general cleaning duties.
