The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of animal physiology and anatomy. This role involves supporting veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and available. Handle animals with care, demonstrating knowledge of animal husbandry and behavior to ensure their comfort. Perform routine laboratory tasks, including collecting samples and conducting basic tests. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including kennels and examination rooms. Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and maintaining accurate records. Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with team members and clients. Work occasional closing shifts in the clinic. Includes managing front desk from 4:30-6pm and closing down the clinic. Work rotating Saturdays (7am-12pm) which include running the front desk, doing morning kennels, and noon kennels for animals boarding. Experience Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is preferred but not required. On the job training is provided Familiarity with animal anatomy and physiology is essential to provide effective support in clinical settings. Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
