Job Description
We are seeking a hard-working, motivated individual to join our team here at Shelley Veterinary Hospital. The ideal candidate must have experience in Veterinary medicine and be able to perform the duties outlined below. Licensing is not required. Hourly wage is $14.00+ depending on experience. Required duties Assisting the Veterinarian in examination rooms with various tasks such as restraint, taking vitals, recording medical history, nail trims, anal gland expression, etc. Operating medical equipment such as x-ray equipment, ultrasound, anesthesia machines, etc. Administering fluids Collecting and preparing diagnostic samples such as blood, urine, and feces. Assisting the Veterinarians in surgical and dental procedures Standard cleaning duties in exam rooms and treatment areas Filling prescription medications Answering phones and checking clients in and out when needed Intake and prepare patients for surgical procedures Basic knowledge in veterinary terminology and procedures to communicate accurately with clients and Veterinarians.
