Countryside Veterinary Center is a busy, full-service small animal hospital in Countryside, IL. We see a wide variety of cases and offer everything from wellness and urgent care to surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation, and more — so there's always something new to learn. We're looking for experienced Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospital, want to be part of a strong team, and are interested in continuing to develop their skills. Whether you're a CVT, an experienced Veterinary Assistant, or currently attending veterinary technician school, we'd love to meet you. The Schedule This is a full-time position , and evening and weekend availability is required. Our technician team typically works a 4-day work week , with schedules designed around longer shifts — generally two 12-hour shifts, one shorter weekday shift, and every other weekend . Weekend frequency may vary based on hospital needs and scheduling. What You'll Do Our Treatment team is involved in all aspects of the hospital. Depending on your experience, education, and credentialing, your day may include: Venipuncture and IV catheter placement Anesthesia induction and monitoring Surgical and dental procedures Dental and digital radiography In-house laboratory testing through IDEXX Medication administration and injections Drug calculations Patient monitoring and nursing care Client communication and education Assisting with appointments and procedures Team collaboration and problem solving We see a wide variety of cases, giving our team the opportunity to use their skills every day while continuing to learn. Compensation Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT): $20-$28/hour

Veterinary Assistant:

$16-$20/hour Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, credentials, and qualifications.

Education & Certification Veterinary Technician:

Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program Current Illinois CVT certification, or actively working toward certification

Veterinary Assistant:
