Job Description

As a "float" at Beechwood Veterinary Clinic you are expected to split your time in the roles of receptionist and veterinary assistant. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, professionalism, exceptional customer service, and a positive attitude. Everyone that enters the clinic doors are to be greeted with a smile and welcomed. At times our clients can be emotional or grieving for their pet, which makes the role at Beechwood both challenging and rewarding. Our receptionists have the ability to be kind and understanding even when our clients are under stress. As a veterinary assistant you will be required to assist the licensed technicians, bring patients to the treatment area when needed, draw up vaccines or gather supplies for the technicians, restrain patients, and run the lab equipment (blood, urine, heartworm tests, fecals). All employees participate in end of day maintenance and cleaning. Training for the technical aspects of the roles will be provided as well as a plan for growth. Please submit a resume with previous employment and references. If you have any further questions regarding the position, please contact Dr. Ashley Dawes at 260-665-2090.
