Part-Time RVT / Experienced Veterinary Assistant - Mobile Veterinary Clinic Looking for a part-time position, love animals, and want your weekends mostly free? Mobile Paws Veterinary Clinic is a newly opened mobile veterinary clinic providing basic wellness and preventative care for pets throughout the northwest Indianapolis area. As we prepare for our late August/early September 2026 launch , we're looking for an RVT or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinarian on mobile appointments.
Schedule Expected start:
Late August to Early September 2026 Monday, Wednesday & Friday Approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, based on appointment demand Occasional Saturdays may be available or required based on clinic needs. No regular weekend schedule. Because we are a brand-new clinic building our client base, hours are not guaranteed at this time. There may be scheduled weekdays when there are few or no appointments and therefore no working hours. We're looking for someone excited to grow alongside a new practice. This position will initially be a 1099 independent contractor , with the goal of transitioning to a W-2 employee position as the clinic grows and consistent hours become available. Responsibilities Travel with our veterinarian to client appointments Safely restrain dogs and cats Collect blood, urine, ear, skin, and other diagnostic samples Assist with in-house laboratory testing Assist with vaccines, wellness appointments, and routine treatments Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients Help keep the mobile clinic clean, organized, and stocked Qualifications Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred; experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply Minimum of 1 year of hands-on clinical veterinary experience Confident with canine and feline restraint Comfortable performing blood draws and collecting diagnostic samples Experience preparing and interpreting basic laboratory samples Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely Dependable, organized, and able to work independently in a mobile setting Strong communication and client service skills Reliable transportation to and from the clinic's meeting location
