Veterinary Technician / Experienced Assistant Do you want to provide great small animal patient care and partner with clients who know your name and value you as a part of their pet's healthcare team? Healthy Paws Animal Hospital has seen the explosive growth nearly everyone in the veterinary profession has experienced. We recognize our commitment to our patients and want to do our very best for them. We want to see them not only for preventative care visits, but also when they aren't feeling their best. To do that, we need to grow our team to meet that demand. We currently have 3 DVMs and, with tremendous demand, are looking for additional support staff to serve our quickly growing patient base. We practice low-stress handling and promote fear-free vet visits. Our focus is to help both clients and pets have a positive, fear-free experience during all visits and interactions. The ideal candidate for any position must have a positive attitude and be motivated to provide an excellent experience for both the client and patient with every interaction. Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and team members are a must. Candidates must be able to problem-solve, think on their feet, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. They must be organized, ethical, and personable. They must be able to manage and organize the flow of appointments and client communications. Candidates should have a desire and interest in continuing their education to provide gold-standard care for their patients. Registered technicians are preferred, but candidates with experience will also be considered. Full-time hours are 36-40hrs/week and require flexibility to the hospital's needs, including 1-2 Saturdays/month. Candidates must be able to lift 40 pounds. RVT's must hold a license in good standing. Each member is an integral part of our team, and we welcome those with a positive attitude who want a practice where they can grow and develop their skills, pursue their interests, and inspire and teach other team members as well as clients. Client education and communication are a must. We provide traditional and integrative services, including acupuncture, medical massage, and laser therapy. House call services are also available.
