Job Description

Do you have a passion for animals and enjoy staying busy? Heritage Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kennel Attendant to join our South Clinic team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on animal care, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and wants the opportunity to grow within a veterinary hospital. We're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn. At Heritage Animal Hospital, we believe in cross-training our team members, so there are opportunities to learn additional departments and develop new skills as you gain experience.
Schedule Monday-Friday:
8:00 AM-1:00 PM Every other weekend (morning and evening kennel care) Holiday rotation When scheduled for a weekend, you'll receive time off during the week. Additional hours may be available based on clinic needs and training. Responsibilities Feed, walk, medicate (as trained), and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets Clean kennels, cages, runs, and hospital areas Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment Monitor animal behavior and report concerns to medical staff Laundry, dishes, and general housekeeping Assist other departments as needed and participate in cross-training opportunities What We're Looking For Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy Able to work independently, especially during weekend shifts Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Strong work ethic and attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn Previous animal care or veterinary experience is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person. Opportunities for Growth This position offers room for advancement. As you gain experience, additional hours and cross-training opportunities may become available in other areas of the hospital for individuals who demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a desire to grow with our team.
