Job Summary Join Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine and play a key role in advancing large animal care and education. In this position, you will provide expert surgical and medical care for a diverse range of species—including equine, bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine, and select exotics—supporting both daytime and after-hours emergency services. You will primarily contribute to the Large Animal Hospital's emergency service, delivering critical care and overseeing the emergency student rotation. You'll collaborate with a dedicated clinical team, sharing on-call responsibilities while ensuring high-quality outcomes and clear communication with clients and referring veterinarians. Opportunities are available to participate in daytime surgical services as well. With approximately 70% effort dedicated to clinical service, you will also teach fourth-year veterinary and veterinary nursing students, providing hands-on instruction in clinical, surgical, and emergency care settings. This is a one-year position with the opportunity for renewal based on performance and hospital needs. Benefits are included.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Qualified candidates will need: Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree Skills needed: Must be able to work in stressful and emergency situations without direct supervision Must possess good oral and written communication skills Effective interpersonal skills, ability to read and write English What is helpful: Previous experience with electronic medical records and MS applications
