We are a growing, independently owned companion animal practice in Northern Kentucky seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Our practice is built on the belief that exceptional medicine begins with exceptional relationships. While we proudly care for dogs and cats alike, we are excited to be expanding our feline medicine services with the addition of a veterinarian dedicated to feline-friendly, low-stress care. Building meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and their pets. Providing thoughtful, individualized patient care rather than rushing from appointment to appointment. Practicing gentle, low-stress handling that prioritizes both patient welfare and team safety. Working alongside veterinarians who value collaboration, mentorship, and open communication. Educating clients and helping them make informed decisions about their pets' health. Growing your skills and contributing ideas that improve patient care and the client experience. Helping expand a feline-forward approach within a busy companion animal practice. Being part of an independent hospital where quality medicine and a positive team culture come before production metrics. Responsibilities Depending on your experience and credentials, responsibilities may include: Patient restraint and low-stress handling Outpatient and inpatient nursing care Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics Surgical and dental assistance Anesthesia monitoring Dental radiography Client education and communication Medical record documentation Treatment administration and patient monitoring Qualifications Previous or Veterinary Technician preferred Licensed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Experience with Fear Free®, Cat Friendly, or other low-stress handling techniques is a plus Positive attitude, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and a willingness to learn Compensation We believe experienced support staff deserve to be recognized and compensated for their knowledge, reliability, professionalism, and dedication to outstanding patient care.
Veterinary Assistant:
Approximately $14-20/hour , depending on experience.
Licensed Veterinary Technician:
Approximately $17-29/hour , depending on experience, skills, and credentials. Benefits May Include Paid time off
