Veterinary Technician/Assistant

AAHA accredited small animal practice seeking a highly-skilled, motivated, and compassionate veterinary technician or assistant to join our team. Duties

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to pets
• Perform various diagnostic tests and procedures under the supervision of a veterinarian
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by a veterinarian
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
• Monitor vital signs of animals during surgeries and procedures
• Provide post-operative care and monitoring of animals
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment Qualifications
• Degree in veterinary technology or one year experience as a veterinary assistant
• Proficiency in performing diagnostics and administering treatments
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely, effectively, and compassionately
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be extremely compassionate to both patients and clients Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
