In this role, you will support veterinarians with clinical procedures, provide exceptional pet care, and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for both animals and staff. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Handle animals safely through proper restraint techniques, animal handling skills, and dog training methods to ensure stress-free procedures. Perform laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment to support diagnostic efforts. Conduct pet grooming, pet care routines, and animal husbandry tasks to promote comfort and health of animals in our care. Manage dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental cleanings, extractions, or treatments. Operate radiography equipment (X-ray) to capture clear images for diagnosis while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support critical veterinary care activities, including animal catheterization, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with emergency situations involving veterinary critical care experience. Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and procedural notes to ensure accurate documentation. Assist with equine or larger animal procedures when applicable, applying specialized knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology. Requirements Prior experience working in a veterinary setting or related animal care environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and pet care best practices. Experience with kennel management, dog handling, pet grooming, and animal restraint techniques. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, aseptic techniques, and veterinary critical care is advantageous. Ability to perform animal catheterization and handle animals safely during various procedures. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners when needed.
