  • Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic equine veterinary team as an overnight Veterinary Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly contribute to the health and happiness of our animal patients.
In this vital role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by providing compassionate animal care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring a smooth clinic operation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, equine centered environment while making a meaningful difference in the lives of horses and their owners. Qualifications Prior equine experience or animal husbandry background preferred; experience working in veterinary clinics is highly valued Knowledge of equine terminology, equine anatomy, and physiology essential for supporting clinical procedures Experience with equine handling techniques and medication administration required for safe patient handling Strong equine handling skills across different breeds; equine handling experience is especially beneficial Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures used in veterinary practice Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinarian supervision following proper aseptic techniques Support laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and basic diagnostic testing to aid in accurate patient diagnosis Maintain detailed records of patient care, medication administration, and laboratory results in accordance with clinic protocols Provide equine care and equine husbandry services including feeding, bathing, grooming, and cleaning stalls to promote optimal health Join us if you're passionate about equine care and eager to grow your veterinary experience!
