ABOUT US
Goodwood Veterinary Clinic is a small animal hospital dedicated to compassionate, high-quality care for our patients and honest, friendly service for their families. We're growing our team and looking for a Veterinary Technician who takes pride in great patient care and enjoys working alongside a supportive team.
THE ROLE
We're hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to support our veterinarians in daily patient care, from routine wellness visits to diagnostics and surgical procedures. We welcome applications from licensed/credentialed techs (LVT/CVT/RVT) as well as experienced techs without formal credentials — what matters most is hands-on skill and a genuine love for animal care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed
  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia
  • Perform lab work (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, etc.)
  • Take and process radiographs
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Educate pet owners on home care, medications, and follow-up instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment area
  • Support front-desk and kennel staff as needed during busy periods
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant (LVT/CVT/RVT preferred, not required)
  • Comfortable handling and restraining animals of varying temperaments
  • Strong communication skills with clients and team members
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
