In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our care, supporting veterinary staff with essential husbandry tasks, and ensuring optimal animal welfare. Duties Provide exceptional animal handling and restraint to ensure safety during examinations, treatments, and procedures Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards and prevent infections Assist with feeding, watering, and monitoring animals' behavior and health status throughout their stay Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques Record detailed notes on animal behavior, treatments administered, and observations to maintain accurate medical records Help with laboratory procedures including sample collection and processing to support diagnostic efforts Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions and clinic procedures to foster trust and clarity Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; experience with veterinary clinics or critical care is a plus Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and animal husbandry practices Ability to handle dogs, cats, and other small animals safely using proper restraint techniques Experience with cleaning protocols, PPE use, record keeping, and laboratory procedures is desirable Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting animals or equipment regularly throughout the day Willingness to learn new skills related to surgery support, medication administration, and animal behavior management Join us in providing compassionate care in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to animal well-being.
