We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our team and help us continue providing outstanding service to our clients and patients. About the Role This position is ideal for an animal lover who enjoys helping both people and pets in a busy, fast-paced environment. The right candidate will be friendly, professional, organized, and able to remain patient and compassionate under pressure. This role requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to move comfortably between client communication, administrative responsibilities, patient assistance, cleaning, and stocking. Customer service experience is required. Previous veterinary or animal-care experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Answer and manage multiple phone lines while providing professional and compassionate client service Check voicemails regularly and respond or route messages appropriately Compose, monitor, and reply to emails in a timely and professional manner Schedule, confirm, and update appointments Greet clients and patients upon arrival Check patients in and out, process payments, and review invoices Maintain accurate client and patient information in ezyVet, our practice-management software Perform data entry and scan, attach, and organize documents within patient records Assist veterinarians and technicians with patients when needed Safely handle and comfort animals with a variety of temperaments Support clients and patients during stressful or emergency situations Clean and disinfect work areas, kennels, exam rooms, and shared hospital spaces Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is running low Assist with laundry, trash, dishes, and other general hospital cleaning duties Follow all hospital safety, sanitation, and wellness procedures Complete other general duties as needed to support hospital operations Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent multitasking, organization, and attention to detail Comfortable answering multiple phone lines and managing different forms of communication Able to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in high-stress situations Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable working with animals of different sizes, medical conditions, and temperaments Willing to assist with cleaning, stocking, and general hospital upkeep Basic computer and data-entry skills Ability to learn new software and hospital procedures Scheduling flexibility, including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays Why You'll Love Working Here Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow and learn within the veterinary field Hands-on experience in a busy, 24-hour animal hospital Meaningful work helping pets and their families Competitive pay with potential opportunities for advancement If you are passionate about animals, enjoy helping people, and can successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
