Job Description
Our Veterinary Ophthalmology practice is seeking an experienced & energetic Veterinary Assistant to fill a full-time position in our surgical facility. Our unique practice offers comprehensive animal eye care exclusively. Services include treatment and surgery for cataracts, glaucoma, and diseases of the eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea, lens, retina, and orbit. Patients include dogs, cats, exotic animals, wildlife, and some large animals. We are looking for a bright, friendly person with excellent customer service skills and experience in a surgical setting. Knowledge and skills of venipuncture, restraint, and ability to monitor anesthesia are required. Having a happy, positive personality with an appropriate professional demeanor is our standard! Monday-Friday business hours with on-call duty. Duties include but are not limited to, answering telephones, assisting in exam rooms, monitoring anesthesia, check in/out patients, clinic housekeeping, administering medications. Ability to work alongside co-workers as a team is a must and is greatly appreciated. Smoke free environment. Full-time employees are eligible for 100% paid health insurance, 401k, & bonuses.
