Responsibilities Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal restraint, handling, and husbandry to ensure safe and stress-free procedures. Support clinical tasks such as medication administration, venipuncture, IV catheterization, and aseptic techniques to uphold high standards of patient care. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic by cleaning kennels, treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Help with laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing, and record keeping to facilitate accurate diagnostics. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, post-operative care, and answering basic questions about animal health. Assist with surgery preparation and recovery support to ensure smooth procedures and optimal patient outcomes. Requirements Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred; familiarity with animal handling techniques is essential. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and basic medical procedures, medication administration and record keeping. Experience with fear free dog and cat restraint techniques is a plus. Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) use guidelines for safety. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
