Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Canine Rehabilitation Assistant and play a vital role in enhancing the recovery and well-being of dogs undergoing rehabilitation. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will support veterinary professionals by providing compassionate animal care, assisting with therapy sessions, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for our canine patients. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help dogs regain strength, mobility, and confidence, contributing to their overall health and happiness. Duties Assist CCRPs during canine rehabilitation therapy sessions, including hydrotherapy and laser treatments Handle dogs safely and confidently during treatments, ensuring proper animal restraint and behavior management Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by performing cleaning of facility and treadmill Monitor dogs' progress, document treatment responses, and communicate observations to the veterinary team Assist with scheduling, invoices, phone calls and emails including requesting and sending records Comfortable working alone and at night Must be willing to travel between both locations (Northampton and Granby) Qualifications Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is required Minimum 1 year experience working at a veterinary hospital Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal behavior and restraint techniques Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of pet grooming, animal restraint, cleaning protocols, and facility sanitization practices We are a small team of 4 looking to grow and expand our services. We provide a wide range of rehabilitation services and therapies to dogs and cats. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, friendly, personable and kind. Understanding of canine behavior and handling/restraint techniques a must. Applicants must be willing to particpate in paid working interviews, be willing to travel between both locations and have a flexible schedule, including some evenings. No weekend work required at this time, though this is subject to change. LBGTQ+ Friendly environment. CVT not required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
