About Us Veterinary Wellness Center of Provincetown is a rapidly growing, privately owned veterinary hospital focused on integrative, compassionate care. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and dedicated to both patient care and client education. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in veterinary medicine—no experience required, we are willing to train the right candidate. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for working with animals and people in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures Safely restrain animals for exams and treatments using low-stress handling techniques Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Support surgical procedures, including patient prep and anesthesia monitoring (training provided) Monitor patient vitals during procedures and recovery Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sterility of the hospital Perform basic laboratory tasks and diagnostic preparation Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and general pet wellness Maintain accurate and thorough medical records What We're Looking For No experience required—training provided Veterinary or animal care experience preferred (but not required) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn Interest in integrative and wellness-focused veterinary care is a plus Bonus Qualifications (Not Required) Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT) Experience with animal restraint, anesthesia, or surgical assistance Familiarity with veterinary software and medical terminology Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Flexible scheduling Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Continuing Education & Professional Development 401k Personal Pet Care Discounts Why Join Us?
