Join our team at Acoaxet Veterinary Clinic, an AAHA-accredited hospital located in beautiful Westport, Massachusetts. We're seeking a Veterinary Assistant with at least one year experience in a veterinary setting. Our ideal candidate is reliable, enthusiastic, and loves creating positive experiences for clients and their pets. At Acoaxet, you'll be part of a tight-knit, supportive team known for its staff longevity, collaboration, and laid-back, approachable management style.•
What You'll Do:
Assist doctors and technicians with patient handling, restraint, treatments, and diagnostic procedures Deliver compassionate, attentive care to pets throughout their visit Communicate clearly and kindly with clients, helping them feel supported and informed Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and restock supplies Support workflow efficiency by assisting with lab work, patient monitoring, and record keeping Help ensure a smooth, positive experience for both clients and their pets•
What We're Looking For:
At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant role Strong animal-handling skills and confidence working in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication, multitasking, and teamwork abilities Reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to high-quality patient care A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping pets and the people who love them Someone who fits well within our supportive, friendly, community‑focused team
