Job Description

Liberty Falls Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Applicants must have at least two years Vet Tech experience. We are a family forward small animal practice in the heart of Potomac, MD. LFVC offers a competitive starting hourly wage based on experience.. We pride ourselves on our dynamic and team orientated work environment. Our business hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm Our phones do not ring from 1-1:45 everyday! We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. LFVC pays for Team lunches on Monday and Friday for all employees who are scheduled. LFVC offers a $200.00 monthly stipend for private health insurance to all full-time employees who have been employed for 90 working days.
Qualifications:
Must be comfortable working with all breeds of animals (dogs and cats) Must have 2+ years experience as a Veterinary Assistant Must be comfortable around and handling animals (cats and dogs) Must be comfortable handling fractious animals (dogs and cats) Must be experienced with monitoring anesthesia & recovering surgical patients Must be able to preform doppler blood pressure readings on patients Must be able to do laundry Must be able to use a Computer, Word, basic Veterinary PIMS programs Must be comfortable and able to clean kennels, Exam room tables, walls, floors, benches, and other various cleaning tasks as assigned. Must be able to preform CPR Must be able to lift over 45lbs Must be available to work flexible hours Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass a background check
