Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant All Creatures Veterinary Service - Rising Sun, MD Full-Time | $15.00-$20.00+ per hour (based on experience) Are you looking for a veterinary practice where your work is appreciated, your schedule allows for a life outside of work, and your team genuinely supports one another? All Creatures Veterinary Service is a privately owned mixed animal practice in Cecil County, Maryland. We're growing and are looking for a dependable Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who enjoys learning, pays attention to the details, and wants to be part of a positive, hardworking team. No weekends No holidays No overnight shifts Family-friendly schedule Supportive, privately owned practice Opportunities to learn and grow Team culture built on Kindness, Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Teamwork What You'll Do Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and medical procedures Safely handle and restrain patients Collect blood, urine, and fecal samples Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters (based on experience) Prepare surgical patients and monitor anesthesia Administer treatments and medications Run in-house laboratory equipment and prepare samples for outside laboratories Maintain accurate medical records Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and well stocked Educate and communicate with clients in a professional, compassionate manner What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Learns quickly and enjoys developing new skills Has excellent attention to detail Is reliable and shows up ready to work Works well with others and communicates professionally Is organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic Loves caring for animals and supporting their owners Can safely lift up to 50 pounds Veterinary experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who has a great attitude, is eager to learn, and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
Schedule Hospital Hours Monday-Wednesday:
8:30 AM-5:30
PM Thursday:
10:00 AM-7:00
PM Friday:
8:30 AM-12:30 PM No weekends. No holidays.
