The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent animal handling skills, and a desire to support veterinary professionals in providing outstanding care. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with medical procedures, caring for animals, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Duties Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures. Handle animals safely and humanely, including animal restraint when needed for treatment. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning of kennels, treatment areas, and surgical instruments in compliance with sanitation standards. Support animal husbandry activities such as feeding, bathing, and grooming. Administer medications under supervision while adhering to veterinary protocols and safety guidelines. Record keeping of patient information, treatment plans, medication administration, and procedural documentation with accuracy. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, post-operative care, and general inquiries to promote animal welfare. Requirements Prior veterinary clinic experience is required. Excellent interpersonal skills with a team approach is crucial. Ability to handle dogs and cats confidently and manage various animals using appropriate restraint techniques. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
