Job Description
Looking to work with animals in a great environment with a compassionate, friendly and fun team? Enjoy your weekends off? Wayside Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full time veterinary assistant. We are a busy small animal clinic that is committed to providing high quality medicine and care to our patients and clients. Applicants must be caring, focused, motivated and organized with the ability to multi-task. A positive attitude is a must, as well as adapting to rapidly changing and stressful situations. Must enjoy working with animals and their owners. Applicant has the ability to easily bend, squat and lift up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the veterinarian and/or technician in a variety of procedures/tasks
- Patient Care
- Perform basic in clinic laboratory tests
- Cleaning and Organizing
- Animal restraint
- Surgery assistant
- Client care services: answering phones, scheduling appointments, invoicing, client education
Employee Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Clear Background check
- Driver's License
- Reliable transportaion Employment requires three to four evening shifts per week, until 6 pm.
