Job Description

Full time veterinary assistant needed for a small privately owned veterinary hospital in Plymouth, MI that has a culture of compassionate high quality care and teamwork. Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This position is ideal for someone who wants to get started in an entry level position in the veterinary field. Experience is not necessary. We will help you learn and develop!
Responsibilities include:
Assisting veterinarians and technicians with pets Safe animal handling and restraint for exams, diagnostics, and treatments Setting up and running lab tests Washing laundry and exam supplies Stocking supplies in exam rooms and treatment areas Unpacking, recording, and putting away supply shipments Using and maintaining in-house lab equipment Keeping exam rooms, kennels, and the entire hospital clean Opening and closing hospital duties Vacuuming and mopping floors Assisting with radiographs Helping with surgery patients Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.50 per hour
