Where compassion meets purpose! Chippewa Animal Clinic is looking for an energetic, compassionate Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team. Pay:
$18.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience Performance-based annual raises
What You'll Do:
Patient Care & Clinical Support Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures Feed, walk, medicate, and monitor hospitalized patients Safely restrain animals for examinations and sample collection Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery Collect laboratory samples (blood, urine, and fecal) as directed Administer medications under veterinary supervision Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and medical equipment Client Care Educate clients on medications, home care, and preventative health care Discharge patients and review post-visit instructions Answer phones, assist with scheduling, and help triage calls Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and the veterinary team Medical Records & Administrative Support Maintain accurate electronic medical records Process payments and patient discharges Fill prescriptions accurately Coordinate medical record transfers and communication with other clinics Hospital Maintenance Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, cages, and kennels Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment
