Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our compassionate team. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to combine animal care with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering outstanding pet and client service. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs at the front desk Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint, medication administration, and basic animal husbandry tasks Handle animal handling procedures including dog handling, animal restraint, and basic animal physiology knowledge Support veterinary technicians with laboratory work, sample collection, and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and ensure proper documentation of treatments Provide pet care advice to clients regarding animal nutrition, behavior, and general health Assist in maintaining a clean, organized clinic environment adhering to infection control protocols Requirements Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience preferred Strong animal handling skills including dog handling and animal restraint techniques Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures Experience with medication administration and aseptic techniques required Familiarity with front desk operations and excellent communication skills Ability to work effectively with animals of all sizes including equine experience is a plus A passion for pet care combined with a team-oriented attitude Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
