Wixom Family Pet Practice Who We Are Join a motivated Team in our Independently Owned, 2 and a half Doctor, Small Animal Practice. As a Fear Free and AAHA-accredited practice, we focus on working together to form long-term patient relationships with large amounts of squeeze cheese! Required team-centered continuing education strengthens our ability to learn and grow together. We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to add their passion, skills, and education to our team! Must project a professional image and embrace core values of the hospital while striving for the highest quality of care. Experience with Covetrus Pulse software system integrated with Heska diagnostic machines and Cuattro digital radiograph system would be an asset. The noted job requirements are not an exhaustive list of duties, as the position requires constant growth to contribute to the whole of the practice. Veterinary Assistant What You'll Be Working On
  • Engaging and communicating with clients and staff
  • Getting and maintaining patient information and records
  • Perform basic care for patients that do not require a veterinarian or technician assistance
  • Assist the doctor or technician with patient treatments, procedures, and activities
  • Assist in maintaining hospital cleanliness, prepping exam rooms, and supply inventory management
  • Support receptionist with answering phones, triaging calls, and checking out clients
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
