If you enjoy hands-on patient care, learning new skills, and being part of a specialty team that works through complex medical cases, Internal Medicine could be a great fit. What You'll Do As an Internal Medicine Technician Assistant, you'll work alongside our Internal Medicine veterinarians, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, and support team to help provide excellent care to our patients throughout their visit.
Your responsibilities may include:
Assist with safe patient handling and restraint for exams, diagnostics, and procedures Help prepare patients and treatment areas for Internal Medicine appointments and procedures Assist LVTs and veterinarians during diagnostic procedures Set up, clean, and maintain medical equipment and treatment spaces Collect basic patient information and assist with obtaining vital signs within your training and scope Support patient comfort, cleanliness, feeding, walking, and general nursing care Prepare supplies and help keep the service organized and ready for the day Assist with stocking and inventory of commonly used supplies Transport patients safely between hospital areas Help maintain accurate, efficient patient flow throughout the service Communicate and collaborate with team members across departments Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and patient-care standards Why Internal Medicine?
