Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques, and supporting animal restraint. Perform animal husbandry duties including feeding, cleaning enclosures, administering medications, and monitoring animal health status. Handle a variety of animals with care and confidence, including dogs, cats, and other small or exotic species. Support clinical tasks such as IV insertion, catheterization, medication administration, record keeping, and sample collection. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by sanitizing surgical areas, treatment rooms, kennels, and equipment following PPE protocols. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and behavioral observations to promote animal welfare. Support front desk activities including appointment scheduling, client check-in/out processes, and managing veterinary records. Qualifications Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated veterinary technician or critical care experience is advantageous. Strong animal handling skills across multiple species with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, aseptic technique, surgery support, medication administration and record keeping. Experience with pet care routines such as feeding, cleaning enclosures, and administering treatment. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support.
