Position:
Veterinary Assistant Business:
Bear Paw Veterinary Service Hours M-F 8:30-5:30
Date:
3-27-2026 Business is looking for an outgoing and self-motivated individual to work in the veterinary profession. A good candidate for this position must enjoy working with animals of all species, contribute to a positive atmosphere, and work well with others. This position is responsible for facilitating Veterinarians, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, and reception in the care of patients and clients. Patient care and cleanliness of the facility are a vital role of the veterinary assistant.
This position involves:
  • Restraining patients for exams and other procedures
  • Maintaining a clean environment for the patients and clients
  • Exercising animals.
  • Preparing patients to go home.
  • Educating clients on patient care
  • Lifting required of at least 50 #.
  • Restocking
  • Reliability
Work Ethic Other:
Applicant must have a passion for animal care, both large and small. The business is willing to train the right applicant and will mentor the applicant in learning our systems, improving current skills, and facilitate new skills.
Hours:
40 hours per week Possible On Call One Weekend per month.
Wage:
Dependent on skills and education, not less than $13.00/hr.
