You will be instrumental in supporting veterinary staff with animal handling, diagnostic procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication, ensuring every pet receives prompt, compassionate treatment. Duties Assist in emergency veterinary procedures, including animal restraint, IV insertion, and vascular access to stabilize critically ill patients. Support diagnostic radiology and radiology diagnostics by preparing animals for X-ray procedures and operating medical imaging equipment. Perform laboratory work such as blood draws (phlebotomy), sample processing, and veterinary laboratory tests to aid diagnosis. Monitor animals under anesthesia during surgical or diagnostic procedures, ensuring proper anesthesia administration and veterinary anesthesia monitoring. Handle animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning, grooming, and maintaining a safe environment using aseptic techniques. Assist with pet care duties such as medication administration, animal catheterization, and maintaining animal physiology records. Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to ensure clarity and comfort. Qualifications Previous veterinary experience and familiarity with animal handling techniques are highly preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is essential for accurate support. Experience with veterinary critical care, emergency medicine, and intensive care procedures is a strong plus. Proficiency in veterinary software systems and diagnostic radiology equipment operation is desirable. Ability to perform IV insertions, venous access placement, and animal restraint confidently. Strong understanding of general anesthesia protocols and veterinary surgical assistance experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are required.
