Job Description

The Veterinary Assistant will be assisting the veterinarians with patient care and treatment, monitor surgery pets, maintains inventory, prepares prescriptions, performs routine in-house laboratory work, educates clients regarding veterinary care and procedures. Restrain animals in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner during examinations and procedures. Know how to properly handle difficult or contentious animals. Multi-tasker and must be able to lift 50 pounds. Position type and expected hours of work : Full or Part-Time 8-10 hour Shifts Monday - Friday Overtime may be required

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous veterinary experience preferred. More detailed job description will be given, once hired.

Job Types:

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
