We're looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated staff and support our veterinarians in delivering top-notch patient care. Why Join Us? What You'll Do:
Assist in patient care and veterinary exams Administer medications as prescribed Monitor animal health and behavior, and report findings Restrain animals safely for procedures and treatments Maintain clean, sanitized exam rooms and equipment Provide support during emergencies Answer phones, greet clients, and help with reception tasks Keep accurate patient records and logs Educate clients on basic care and post-treatment needs
What We're Looking For:
Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant (preferred but not required) Strong communication and customer service skills A calm, patient, and caring demeanor Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Comfortable handling cats, dogs, and exotic pets (birds, reptiles, etc.) Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for long periods Willingness to work rotating Saturdays and occasional emergencies High school diploma or equivalent; Veterinary Assistant certification a plus
