Month Pay:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour (based on experience) Join Our Emergency Team Meredith Place Veterinary Emergency is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate and hardworking emergency team. For over 14 years, we've proudly provided exceptional emergency veterinary care to the Meredith community in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where teamwork and patient care always come first. If you're an experienced veterinary assistant who enjoys emergency medicine, thrives under pressure, and is passionate about helping pets when they need it most, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be an important part of our emergency team by: Assisting veterinarians and technicians during emergency examinations and treatments Safely restraining patients for exams, diagnostics, and procedures Preparing treatment and exam areas for incoming patients Assisting with IV catheter placement, blood draws, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostic testing Supporting anesthesia preparation, surgical setup, and patient recovery Monitoring hospitalized patients and promptly communicating changes to the medical team Taking radiographs and assisting with patient positioning Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining medical equipment Providing compassionate client communication and assisting with discharge instructions Maintaining accurate medical records and helping keep the hospital running efficiently What We're Looking For Minimum of 1 year of veterinary assistant experience required Emergency or urgent care experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling critical cases Strong patient restraint and animal handling skills Experience with laboratory procedures, radiographs, and surgical assistance preferred Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional patient care Perks & Benefits Competitive compensation Monthly Bonus Opportunities Health, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay Employee Assistance Program & Behavioral Health Resources Scrub Allowance Flexible Scheduling Paid Parental Leave Generous Employee Pet Discount If you're looking to grow your career in emergency veterinary medicine while working alongside a supportive and experienced team, we'd love to hear from you!
