Veterinary Assistant - Part-Time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary team. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the clinic, assisting with patient care, and ensuring a positive experience for both clients and their pets. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of veterinary clinic experience and be available to work on Saturdays and one or two shifts during the week, with shifts ranging from six to ten hours. Duties Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort during visits. Restrain animals safely and effectively to assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Communicate professionally with clients, providing information and reassurance regarding their pets' care. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic, including treatment areas, kennels, and equipment. Support veterinary staff with various tasks related to animal welfare, ensuring all animals are treated humanely. Assist with general clinic duties as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Requirements Minimum of one year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar environment. Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of animal restraint techniques. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work on Saturdays.
