Veterinary Assistant

We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual with a passion for pets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with animals, medical knowledge and a solid understanding of important medical procedures. Responsibilities:

Ensure that patients receive the necessary vaccinations and preventative care. Provide care for animals under the veterinarian's direction. Perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and restraining animals. Perform lab test and patient treatments, including drawing blood and placing catheters. Communicate with clients about disease prevention and treatment methods. Perform tasks, including writing in electronic medical records, filling prescriptions, client call backs, and creating computer generated invoices.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
