Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. Duties:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Provide assistance with animal restraint during procedures
• Monitor vital signs of animals under the supervision of veterinarians
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and medication administration
• Assist with grooming, bathing, and basic pet hygiene
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
• Knowledge of animal physiology, behavior, and basic veterinary procedures
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
• Experience in dog training or pet grooming is a plus
• Ability to perform animal catheterization and restraint techniques
• Understanding of veterinary critical care practices
