Southern Hills Animal Hospital is a non-corporate single location small animal practice. We are currently looking for a veterinary assistant to join our team. We are open 8a-5p during the week and 8a-12p on Saturday/closed on Sundays. Ideally, we are looking for someone 3 days per week - Mon/Fri/Sat. There will be room to pick up shifts (including Sunday to care for boarding patients), and the possibility to transition to full-time in the future. Job duties include (but are not limited to): assisting veterinarian or LVT with exams and surgery, medical record keeping and charting, taking patient history and vitals, drawing blood, obtaining radiographs and other diagnostic tests, caring for and medicating patients - including cleaning up after and walking patients, answering phones, communicating with clients, assisting other departments when short-handed. Familiarity with exotics (ferrets, rabbits, rodents) and/or Cornerstone a plus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Pay is dependent on experience.
