Job Description
Job Summary Join our mobile veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and be a vital part of delivering compassionate, high-quality care directly to pets and their owners. In this energetic role, you will assist Dr. Stephany in providing essential medical services in various locations, ensuring animals receive the best possible treatment in a comfortable and safe environment. Your enthusiasm, animal handling skills, and dedication will help improve animal welfare while supporting pet owners through education and compassionate care. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and positioning during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Record detailed patient information including medical history, treatments administered, and progress notes accurately in electronic health records Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding pet care instructions, medication schedules, and follow-up needs to foster trust and understanding Prepare and organize medical supplies for house-call visits Provide client education and support during and after appointments Help keep our mobile vet setup stocked, organized, and adventure-ready Skills Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience demonstrating familiarity with animal handling and care protocols Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and animal behavior to assist effectively in clinical settings Experience with front desk duties such as client communication, appointment scheduling, and record keeping is a plus Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and understanding pet body language for safe interactions Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently to uphold hygiene standards Excellent communication skills to educate pet owners on animal welfare practices and post-treatment care Join us in making a difference by bringing veterinary services directly to pets where they are most comfortable!
