Join the talented team at Hudson Valley Veterinary Dermatology ! We're a new (and beautiful!) fully independent, owner-operated veterinary dermatology and allergy center in Lincoln Square. Our practice is built on compassionate, comprehensive care, and we believe exceptional medicine starts with treating both our patients and clients with kindness and respect. At Hudson Valley Veterinary Dermatology, we: Practice gentle handling and Fear Free techniques Provide personalized care with more time dedicated to each patient Build meaningful relationships with pet owners and their beloved companions Focus on improving quality of life for pets suffering from chronic skin and ear diseases Veterinary dermatology is one of the most rewarding specialties in veterinary medicine. Many of our patients experience dramatic improvements in comfort, appearance, and overall well-being, making the impact of our work both visible and deeply fulfilling. The specifics:
Full time, four day work week (Tuesday-Friday) Above average compensation, commensurate with experience Generous employee discounts Fear Free/Gentle handling certification provided and require Our ideal candidate is: Friendly, positive, dependable, and professional Passionate about building relationships with both pets and their people Detail-oriented and highly organized A strong communicator with excellent client-service skills Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Technical Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of veterinary assistant experience Strong computer and typing skills (40+ WPM) Ability to learn and effectively assist in dermatology treatments and procedures
Physical Requirements:
This role involves moderately physical work and requires the ability to: Lift up to 50 pounds Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks Remain active and on your feet for much of the workday Safely work around sick animals, cleaning agents, anesthetic gases, zoonotic diseases, biological materials, and occasional unpleasant odors
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening if requested Commitment to maintaining a drug-free and smoke-free workplace
